unued Freemasons

Your work stays
where it belongs.

Built by a Mason, for Masons, around the obligations we keep. Degree work is treated as protected material from the moment it's added to the moment a brother's access ends.

Every layer of protection, explained plainly. See how

Four layers of protection

  1. Approved work only
  2. Locked, even on your phone
  3. Nothing to forward
  4. Private and accountable

Web and app everywhere unCued runs. In the app in the Android and iPhone apps.

1 · Approved work only
  • Web and appOnly official, approved text.Degree work is added and edited only by unCued's administrator. Members can't change a word.
  • Web and appThe right degree for the right brother.A brother sees only the work for degrees verified for him. An Entered Apprentice can't open Fellowcraft work, and each appendant body is unlocked separately for members in good standing.
  • Web and appAccess ends when membership does. When a degree or membership is removed, the work is withdrawn on the member's next request.
2 · Locked, even on your phone
  • Web and appA passcode your lodge sets. The work opens with a passcode set by your lodge, never by the member. It locks again after 15 minutes idle, and repeated wrong attempts lock it until an administrator resets it.
  • In the appFingerprint, face or passcodebefore the work opens, every time.
  • In the appNo screenshots. On Android, screenshots and screen recordings of the work are blocked. On iPhone, the work is hidden from screen recording and mirroring.
3 · Nothing to forward
  • Web and appNo downloads or exports on the web.Degree work streams for practice and isn't saved to your browser.
  • In the appOffline, but only in unCued.Download your work to practise without a signal. The file is encrypted, locked to your phone, and won't play in any other app or on any other device. If your access ends, it stops working.
  • In the appA lost phone is removed.Your Secretary or unCued removes a lost or replaced phone, and the work on it stops working the next time it connects.
4 · Private and accountable
  • Web and appPrivate to you and your lodge.Your practice isn't shared or sold.
  • Web and appYour name on the screen. The work shows the brother's name faintly across the screen, so a photo of it is traced straight back.
  • Web and appA record of access.unCued logs when a brother first opens a piece of work, failed unlock attempts and every change to degrees and passcodes.
Compared with a printed ritual or cipher

Safer than a book in a drawer.

An honest word

No technology can replace a brother's obligation. Like a printed book, unCued depends on the honour of the brother using it, and no app can stop someone recording a speaker with another device. What unCued adds is verification, a lock, and the ability to withdraw access, none of which a printed book has.

Questions about your jurisdiction's work?

If you look after the work in your jurisdiction, as a Grand Master, Custodian of the Work, Grand Lecturer or member of a Ritual Committee, we'd welcome your questions. We'll show you exactly how unCued handles protected material, and set your jurisdiction up with its own approved work, released only to brethren your lodges confirm.
